Modernizing Access While Preserving Public Trust
The Auditor’s Office plays a critical role in keeping public records accurate, accessible, and well maintained. These records, including deeds, plats, and marriage licenses, are part of daily life in our community and must be handled with care and precision. My priority is to maintain systems that are dependable, easy to use, and built to last.
I have spent years working with county systems and understand how important it is for government processes to function smoothly for the public, working to improve how agencies operate so people can get what they need without unnecessary delays or confusion. As Auditor, I will continue that work by improving access where appropriate, supporting staff, and ensuring records are managed in a way that builds confidence and reliability for the long term.
Public records are often needed at important moments in people’s lives. Whether someone is purchasing property, starting a business, or handling family matters, they rely on these records being accurate and available. That is why consistency and attention to detail are so important in this work.
At the same time, we should continue to look for practical ways to improve access. That may include updating systems, simplifying processes, and making sure information is clear and easy to find. Improvements should be thoughtful and well-tested, ensuring that reliability is never compromised. Good record management supports both individual needs and the long-term integrity of our community.
